Smartsettle Facilitator Training Course Contents

Smartsettle Facilitator Training Level I involves learning to use Smartsettle One. Level II involves orientation and basic tutorials for Smartsettle Infinity. Level III engages trainees in a simulated negotiation in which they play the role of a disputing party. In Level IV, trainees co-facilitate with someone at a more advanced stage. Subsequent levels involve parties in real-life cases.

LEVEL I: Smartsettle One (4hrs)
LEVEL II: Infinity Tutorials (10hrs)
LEVEL III: eNegotiation ADR: An online interactive experience playing the role of a party
  • Review of case materials (2hrs)
  • Competition in the eNegotiation Exhibition and/or participation in Smartsettle training simulations playing the role of a party (8hrs)
LEVEL IV: Co-Facilitator Role Play (15hrs)
  • Even Swaps tutorial (1hr)

  • Framework for Agreement (4hrs)

  • Optimization and Final Agreement (5hrs)
LEVEL V: Real Life Co-Facilitation (20hrs)
  • Co-facilitation in real life cases
LEVEL VI: Real Life Facilitation (20hrs)
  • Lead facilitation in real-life cases

Combined with your existing skills and qualifications, Smartsettle training is designed to improve your ability to facilitate resolution of real world conflicts. Successful completion of each training level will be recognized with a Smartsettle Facilitator Training Certificate.
