Paul’s professional history includes an emphasis on publically advocating for excellent practice, fair policy and family friendly legislation. Paul provincial and national efforts were recognized by the British Columbia Association of Social Workers with the Distinguished Service Award (2006) for Advocacy in Professional Practice. Paul’s practice in the area of family, domestic violence, refugee and immigrant services have helped him to be sensitive to many issues individuals bring to the Family Resolution Centre. Paul’s ongoing interest in family policy/legislation adds to his value in a period where new legislation, the Family Law Act (2011) is being enacted. The Family Law Act has been created to address Family Court backlogs and reduce the protracted legal proceedings that are experienced by many couples/families. Paul is ready to facilitate court directed and privately sought after eNegotiated agreements.
