|
| Facilitation is a collaborative process used to help parties discuss issues, identify and achieve goals and complete tasks in a mutually-satisfactory manner. This process uses trained facilitators who may work just with one side or be impartial, working with all sides. Strict facilitation will not add content or make suggestions but rather focus on the processes and procedures of dispute resolution and decision-making. The role of the facilitator is to show parties how to take control of a process that produces fair and efficient solutions. Parties using Smartsettle may engage a certified Smartsettle facilitator to help guide them through the Smartsettle problem-solving process (see also Mediation). | |
