Smartsettle One Preview at Cyberweek 2007

We were pleased to announce a preview of Smartsettle One at Cyberweek 2007. Cyberweek attendees were invited to be among the first to try out the smartest simple eNegotiation system on the Internet, optimized for single-variable cases. No training is necessary. Just jump in and start negotiating.

Cyberweek participants were encouraged to first read about the hypothetical negotiation case and familiarize themselves with the rules. To participate in the Smartsettle One competition, they created an account near the beginning of Cyberweek and entered negotiations with other participants. Participants were allowed to start and end any time during Cyberweek. Each negotiation took only take a few minutes. Depending on how responsive opponents were, some participants needed to visit the site several times over the span of Cyberweek.

Smartsettle Infinity to One

For newcomers to Cyberweek, a little history is in order. Past Cyberweek participants have had the opportunity to use what we now call Smartsettle Infinity, an eNegotiation system that is applicable to virtually any type of case with any number of negotiators. Smartsettle Infinity uses optimization algorithms to put negotiators in control of a multivariate blind bidding process that quickly produces outcomes that are both fair and efficient. Smartsettle Infinity has been referred to as “the most sophisticated and powerful eNegotiation system on the Internet”, but another persistent theme has been; “Make it simpler, simpler, simpler...”
